Beyonce Knowles

Born in Houston in the fall of 1981, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles started performing at age eight. From dance classes to singing in the church choir, Beyonce was a pure natural talent. Beyonce and her cousin Kelly Rowland met Latavia Roberson during this time, and the girls formed a group with Letoya Luckett. Beyoncé's father and Rowland's legal guardian, Mathew Knowles, signed on to be the trios manager. This lead to the formation of one of the greatest female R&B groups of all time -- Destiny's Child.

In 1997 Destiny's Child signed to Columbia Records and they got a track on the on The Men in Black soundtrack called Killing Time. There latest album, This Is The Remix came out in 2002 and Beyonce Knowles' solo debut Dangerously in Love hit store shelves in June 2003.

Father of Beyonce Knowles, Matthew Knowles, manages Destiny's Child while Beyonce's mother, Tina Knowles, designs their glittering costumes.Beyonce and Destiny's Child were discovered by Whitney Houston. Lovefool by the Cardigans is one of Beyonce Knowles favorite songs. Beyonce's favourite item of clothing is a pair of pathwork metallic boots. Beyonce has written & produced many of the group's songs, including smash hits, Bootylicious, Nasty Girl, Happy Face, Independent Women, Jumpin Jumpin and Apple Pie a la mode.

In 2001, she starred in the MTV adaptation of the opera Carmen. The year after, Beyonce Knowles played Foxxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers: Goldmember. After that Beyonce Knowles snagged a role in The Fighting Temptations. Beyonce released the sexy single, Crazy In Love, featuring Jay-Z which all know was a smash hit.
